Art meets memorable GIFTS! Bring your little one in for an afternoon of fun & creativity! They only stay young for so long, so let’s capture that cuteness by making a clock, a wall hanging plaque, or a pair or ornaments. Handprint and/or footprint impressions are the perfect gift for any family member! DON’T FORGET…. MOTHER’S DAY IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER! Join us in this fun, hands-on event at ArtSea Living Studio in downtown Boynton Beach, Florida. All supplies are included and absolutely NO EXPERIENCE necessary.
During this event, you can make your clay imprint as simple or as complex as you’d like. We’ll have tools ready if you want to get creative and embellish your clay with writing (names & dates), designs, textures, lace imprints & stamps.
Process: With our guidance, you‘ll hand-build your clay sculpture (choose from a clock, a wall hanging plaque, or a pair of ornaments) during this 1.5 hour event. You’ll leave your clay item(s) at our studio for 1 week so they may dry/harden, and then we’ll fire them in our kiln. We’ll call you when they are ready and you may either pick them up and take them home as it (porous/rough in texture and off-white in color) -OR- you may come back to our studio and use our pottery glaze paint ($20 fee) to paint/decorate them, and then we’ll fire them again to make them colorful and glossy!
DO YOU HAVE LOTS OF LITTLE HANDS AND FEET RUNNING AROUND YOUR HOUSE? NO PROBLEM! Bring ’em all! If you want to make more than one item during this event, YOU MOST DEFINITELY CAN MAKE MULTIPLE ITEMS! You’ll simply pay for any additional items on the day of the event. The ticket price ($45) includes your initial item selection. Additional items will range from $10-$30, depending on the size of the item(s) and the amount of clay used.
This class gets a little messy so leave your jewelry (rings & bracelets) at home, and please wear closed toe shoes.
Pease note, clay items are fragile and may be subject to breakage during the drying and firing process. But fear not, we’ll provide you with plenty of instructions and recommendations to help you create sturdy pieces.
